Main aspects of work (what do we do) - Adaptation of international standards (adoption of industry standards in the field of information), according to the basic set of standards and the short-term plan for the standardization of e-health; - National standardization in e-health area (activity of Technical Committee for Standardization No. 83 of Technical regulation and Metrology committee of Ministry for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan; -Registration of international standards of electronic health care for the use on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Standardization Stages 2013-2014 – “the creation of the electronic health record model” which included the first basic set of standards, approved by 75 and 210 orders, also the first classifiers were identified. As there was no competence to develop standards in the field of e-health, the standards were adopted in the form of standard requirements and regulations. 2015-2016 – the identification of the electronic health record’s functional, which includes the processes of medical care and the determination of additional classifiers to support them. In 2015, 4 standards were developed and approved, and classifiers’ adaptation process started off.
The work on the standardization of e-health is quite diverse, but its prime purpose is creation of a fully interoperable e-health space where the patient is a key actor. This will be achieved by:
The implementation of the electronic health record system will have a positive economic effect on the health care system. This will be achieved by a reduction in integration costs due to the compatibility of various information systems with other similar products operating under uniform exchange standards for clinical and administrative data. Also, the reduction of the costs of health services will be due to full transparency of spending and distribution of medicines, medical products. |
