The Concept of e-health development till 2020 was approved at the meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 23, 2013 and approved by the order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 3, 2013 No. 498. It is a strategic document which determines a systematic approach to the development of health sector informatization. The Concept is oriented to the modernization of the current health care system informatization model, reorienting it to the patient's needs, supporting clinical decisions making, improving the quality and accessibility of care.
At the moment, the Ministry of Health Care is planning to update the previously approved Concept in order to reflect current priorities and challenges in the health care informatization.
